Tony passed out a sheet on K – 3 students in attendance as of 10/19/2007. Discussion followed regarding whether or not we could go to 4 1st grade teachers which would keep our ratio at or below 22 students per teacher. There is a registration coming up next week so Tony said he would have better numbers then.
There are 351 students at RMMS today with 319 anticipated for next year. Barbara Higgins is retiring but she is the only one who has announced her intentions. We will probably have 4 2nd grade teachers and 4 third grade teachers (now 5) and not replace Barbara with a new hire.
