Call to order at 7:45am.
CBA’s, Expendable Trust and Operating Budget.
Discussion of CBA proposals for HEA and HESSA.
Motion: H Haytayan motion to approve the HEA CBA increase in the amount of $225, 083. S Benz 2nd. 5-0 in favor.
Motion: H Haytayan motion to approve the HESSA CBA increase in the amount of $48,478. S Benz 2nd. 5-0 in favor.
Should be $64,028 over guidance at this point.
D Duhamel: $60K encumbrance from 2007 budget (planned roof repair double counted in trust and operating budget) We should reduce expendable trust by $50K, which takes into account age of roof repair quote versus reducing by $60K
Also need to send invoice to SAU Board for their approval for SAU building repairs
$124, 838 Expendable trust balance
$17,540 is for energy management system upgrades for both HPS and HUES
Currently $16K in trust for “unknown” items, Dawna to research and make appropriate adjustments.
Discussion concerning CBA cost items that are currently in 08/09 operating budget. R Pike feels they should be part of the HESSA CBA warrant article.
1) In Service Days - approx $9,100/8 hour day at the ’08 rate for the whole HESSA bargaining unit
2) Ability for administration to move employees across categories at their discretion based on educational degrees attained, need to estimate based on Principal inputs, approx $11K for HUES, assumed to be similar for HPS
3) Extra $150/paraeducator for training, Dawna estimates approx $6,750 impact
HESSA warrant article now totals approx $87K

Approx $121K over guidance
